Biography
Christian Tschirner (born 1969 in Lutherstadt-Wittenberg) studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and worked as an actor, director, author and dramaturge at the TaT in Frankfurt, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Bochum, Mannheim, Hannover and Schauspielhaus Hamburg. From 2019 to 2022, he was head dramaturge at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin. In 2023/24, he was part of the curatorial team of the Festival OSTEN. He works as a dramaturge at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and is a founding member of the Soeren Voima writers’ collective and the performance group les dramaturx. At the ligeti center, he conducts research on the topic of palliative dramaturgy.
