Biography
Ali Elnwegy received his bachelor degree from the German University in Cairo in Mechatronics Engineering. He specialized in Control Systems Theory and Design, completing his bachelor thesis on Designing a Robust Model Predictive Controller for a Tower Crane. He pursued a Master’s degree at the Hamburg University of Technology, where he further specialized in Control systems theory and design. Projects he worked on include Adaptive Control of a Power Management System for Zero Sum Energy Houses, Developing a Markov Chain based control scheme for stochastic distributed systems, and developing a Robotics Telemanipulation system using distributed control approaches. He is a scientific researcher and doctoral student in the field of vibrotactile actuators and haptics at Hamburg University of Technology, in the Institute for Mechatronics in Mechanical Engineering (iMEK) and the Haptics Lab of the ligeti center, focusing on modeling the human hand for use with industrial power tools.
