Xiao Fu completed both her master’s and doctoral studies at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama. Working at the intersection of acoustic and electronic music, her research explores gesture-based instrumental control, interactive performance, and the use of artificial intelligence in music production. Her works—including solo and chamber music with live electronics—have been performed worldwide at renowned festivals. From 2024 to 2025, she was awarded a Musikfonds Fellowship for Artificial Intelligence and, in this context, served as a Visiting Scholar at CCRMA, Stanford University.
