Biography
Nadine Schwalb studied German Studies and Business Administration in Mannheim and Sweden before completing her master’s degree in Culture and Media Management at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama. She is the creative mind and co-founder of the feel.jazz festival in Hamburg. In recent years, she has worked as a freelancer in production management for a range of cultural projects, including the Chopin Festival Hamburg and the Gerhard Trede Prize for Arrangement and Composition, and has held various roles at Gängeviertel e.V. She understands her work as enabling others—creating platforms for both established and subversive, experimental forms of art and culture. Since April 2024, she has been coordinator for the Agency for Edification and Participation at the ligeti center, focusing on low-threshold formats that broaden access to its projects. She is chair of the Off-ICMC, the public framework program of the International Computer Music Conference, which addresses the local community with questions of music in our digital age.
